Is the Avalon Nano 3 profitable?

The Canaan Avalon Nano 3 mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 4 TH/s, drawing 140 W (35.0 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $0.15 a day but spends $0.27 on power, so it loses $0.12 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.045 per kWh.

That puts it #223 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #166 of 262 SHA-256 miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in February 2024.
