Is the HS5 profitable?

The Goldshell HS5 mines Siacoin and ScPrime on the Blake2b algorithm at 5.4 TH/s, drawing 2,650 W (491 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $4.26 a day but spends $5.09 on power, so it loses $0.83 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.067 per kWh.

That puts it #282 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #19 of 26 Blake2b miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in February 2021.
