Is the Antminer K5 profitable?

The Bitmain Antminer K5 (1130Gh) mines Nervos (CKB) on the Eaglesong algorithm at 1.13 TH/s, drawing 1,580 W (1.4 J/GH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $0.09 a day but spends $3.03 on power, so it loses $2.94 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.002 per kWh.

That puts it #422 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #13 of 13 Eaglesong miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in April 2020.
