Is the Antminer S21 profitable?

The Bitmain Antminer S21 (200T) mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 200 TH/s, drawing 3,500 W (17.5 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $7.51 a day, spends $6.72 of that on power, and keeps $0.79. That’s around $24 a month. It stops making money above roughly $0.089 per kWh.

That puts it #127 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #92 of 262 SHA-256 miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in January 2024.
