Is the Antminer S21 Pro profitable?

The Bitmain Antminer S21 Pro (245T) mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 245 TH/s, drawing 3,675 W (15.0 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $9.20 a day, spends $7.06 of that on power, and keeps $2.15. That’s around $64 a month. It stops making money above roughly $0.104 per kWh.

That puts it #93 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #51 of 262 SHA-256 miners on efficiency. At the current best price of $3,111 it would pay for itself in about 4.0 years if today’s numbers held. They won’t, so treat that as a rough guide. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in November 2025.
