Is the Antminer T17+ profitable?

The Bitmain Antminer T17+ (64Th) mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 64 TH/s, drawing 3,200 W (50.0 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $2.40 a day but spends $6.14 on power, so it loses $3.74 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.031 per kWh.

That puts it #460 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #190 of 262 SHA-256 miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in December 2019.
