Is the Avalon A15XP profitable?

The Canaan Avalon A15XP (212T) mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 212 TH/s, drawing 3,775 W (17.8 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $7.96 a day, spends $7.25 of that on power, and keeps $0.71. That’s around $21 a month. It stops making money above roughly $0.088 per kWh.

That puts it #131 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #95 of 262 SHA-256 miners on efficiency. At the current best price of $2,241 it would pay for itself in about 8.7 years if today’s numbers held. They won’t, so treat that as a rough guide. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in December 2024.
