Is the EPU XC profitable?

The ForestMiner EPU XC mines Ethereum Classic on the Etchash algorithm at 4.25 GH/s, drawing 3,315 W (780 J/GH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $3.01 a day but spends $6.36 on power, so it loses $3.35 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.038 per kWh.

That puts it #442 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #24 of 39 Etchash miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in January 2023.
