Is the X5 profitable?

The Goldshell X5 mines Litecoin and Dogecoin on the Scrypt algorithm at 850 MH/s, drawing 1,450 W (1.7 J/MH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $0.51 a day but spends $2.78 on power, so it loses $2.27 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.015 per kWh.

That puts it #373 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #56 of 60 Scrypt miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in July 2021.
