Is the B8 profitable?

The Bitfury B8 mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 49 TH/s, drawing 6,400 W (131 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $1.84 a day but spends $12.29 on power, so it loses $10.45 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.012 per kWh.

That puts it #522 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #249 of 262 SHA-256 miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in December 2017.
