Is the Whatsminer M53 profitable?

The MicroBT Whatsminer M53 mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 230 TH/s, drawing 6,670 W (29.0 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $8.64 a day but spends $12.81 on power, so it loses $4.17 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.054 per kWh.
