Is the Whatsminer M50 profitable?

The MicroBT Whatsminer M50 mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 114 TH/s, drawing 3,306 W (29.0 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $4.28 a day but spends $6.35 on power, so it loses $2.07 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.054 per kWh.
