Is the Antminer S17e profitable?

The Bitmain Antminer S17e (64Th) mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 64 TH/s, drawing 2,880 W (45.0 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $2.40 a day but spends $5.53 on power, so it loses $3.13 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.035 per kWh.

That puts it #434 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #182 of 262 SHA-256 miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in November 2019.
