Is the Hornbill H8 profitable?

The StrongU Hornbill H8 mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 74 TH/s, drawing 3,330 W (45.0 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $2.78 a day but spends $6.39 on power, so it loses $3.61 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.035 per kWh.

That puts it #457 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #181 of 262 SHA-256 miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in October 2020.
