Is the STU-U8 profitable?

The StrongU STU-U8 mines Bitcoin on the SHA-256 algorithm at 46 TH/s, drawing 2,100 W (45.7 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $1.73 a day but spends $4.03 on power, so it loses $2.30 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.034 per kWh.

That puts it #377 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #185 of 262 SHA-256 miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in July 2019.
