Is the KD-BOX 2 profitable?

The Goldshell KD-BOX 2 mines Kadena on the Blake2s algorithm at 5 TH/s, drawing 400 W (80.0 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $0.01 a day but spends $0.77 on power, so it loses $0.76 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.001 per kWh.

That puts it #277 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #4 of 16 Blake2s miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in December 2022.
