Is the KD2 profitable?

The Goldshell KD2 mines Kadena on the Blake2s algorithm at 6 TH/s, drawing 830 W (138 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $0.01 a day but spends $1.59 on power, so it loses $1.58 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.000 per kWh.

That puts it #322 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #14 of 16 Blake2s miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in March 2021.
