Is the KD5 profitable?

The Goldshell KD5 mines Kadena on the Blake2s algorithm at 18 TH/s, drawing 2,250 W (125 J/TH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $0.03 a day but spends $4.32 on power, so it loses $4.29 a day. It only makes money if your power costs less than about $0.001 per kWh.

That puts it #485 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #12 of 16 Blake2s miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in March 2021.
