Is the DG Home 1 profitable?

The ElphaPex DG Home 1 mines Litecoin and Dogecoin on the Scrypt algorithm at 2.1 GH/s, drawing 620 W (295 J/GH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $1.26 a day, spends $1.19 of that on power, and keeps $0.07. That’s around $2 a month. It stops making money above roughly $0.085 per kWh.

That puts it #164 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #28 of 60 Scrypt miners on efficiency. At the current best price of $1,477 it would pay for itself in about 56.0 years if today’s numbers held. They won’t, so treat that as a rough guide. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in October 2024.
