Is the D1 profitable?

The VolcMiner D1 (18.5Gh) mines Litecoin and Dogecoin on the Scrypt algorithm at 18.5 GH/s, drawing 4,250 W (230 J/GH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $11.13 a day, spends $8.16 of that on power, and keeps $2.97. That’s around $89 a month. It stops making money above roughly $0.109 per kWh.

That puts it #75 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #18 of 60 Scrypt miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in October 2024.
