Is the D1 Mini Pre profitable?

The VolcMiner D1 Mini Pre mines Litecoin and Dogecoin on the Scrypt algorithm at 2.2 GH/s, drawing 500 W (227 J/GH). At $0.08 per kWh it earns about $1.32 a day, spends $0.96 of that on power, and keeps $0.36. That’s around $11 a month. It stops making money above roughly $0.110 per kWh.

That puts it #145 of 522 on daily profit across every miner we track, and #16 of 60 Scrypt miners on efficiency. It isn’t in stock with us at the moment. It’s an air-cooled unit, released in January 2025.
